"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."God's Word is amazing. The only "living and active" tool we will use teaching our little ones this year!
This was our previous banner, reminding us that we can count on God's promises. This cherry banner decorates the the girl's "Rain or Shine, God is Good all the Time" bedroom.
So, do you want to see their room?
This isn't the best photo, but it was already on my hard drive, so I thought I'd share it. Don't you love seeing what other families are doing?

We chose white comforters, rather than the many pre-designed options, so that we can change the room when it strikes us with little investment. The room is designed with homemade art and homemade pillows reminiscent of raincoats in bright polka dots. To change the room we can make a few new homemade art pieces and some updated homemade pillows and it's a new room. Easy!
The girls enjoy sharing a room. To give it an open feel we opted to trundle beds under (they are pulled out at night time and get tucked back away each morning) rather than building up just yet. We learned that from a friend with eight children.

Very cute room! Your daughters are beautiful! I love decorating with the kids!
ReplyDeleteI love the new banner and of course I am very partial to the girls' room. It is very adorable and comfy. :o) Off to read your kindergarten post!
ReplyDelete*smile* Thank you ladies.
ReplyDeleteThe banner, and the room, are beautiful Rebecca. :) I too love the minimalistic look - in fact, one of my main goals this week is to sort our bedrooms and give away absolutely everything we don't need. Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteI hope all your planning has gone well. All the very best for the school year - I look forward to hearing how it's all going!
Blessings always,
Saminda xo
Thank you Saminda!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you! Yes, the less we have, the less we have to clean up~ although that is a continual effort, isn't it? The stuff seems to multiply on its own! : )
Love,
Rebecca
Love the new banner!!! So cute! It's been almost 35 years and I am still waiting for you to create something I don't like. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour loving sis,
Liz
Are you really going to be 35 in a couple of weeks? Wow. I feel old. : )
ReplyDeleteI love you!
Rebecca
Love your new banner, but my daughter wanted to know where the rainbow went! The first time she saw the rainbow she made her own and hung it on the clothesline outside :)
ReplyDeleteWe do the poor man's version of trundle beds. Our youngest sleeps on a toddler mattress on the floor that gets pushed under big sister's bed during the day :)
Sweeet! : )
ReplyDeleteExactly. Toddler bed is under the other side until we build or buy a new one.
Blessings,
Rebecca
P.S. Sorry if that means she is going to want brownies and ice cream now. ; )
