TENNIS CLASS {a video}

For those of you who watched the girl's last video production and have been begging for us to add another one (well, I know you meant to beg...)  

You need wait no longer!  

To follow is a short, four minute video, of tennis class made by Faith and Michaela.

For my part I say, "Hooray for big kids who film and video edit!"  It's the first time in years that we've had home video available-- and let's be honest-- they do a much better job than I ever did.  I do believe I am officially retired.  ;)

TIME TO BREATHE {a quick trip away}

Last weekend our family zipped away for a quick Anniversary Celebration and Father's Day rest. It was much needed I can tell you.

Sickness, a death in the family and various other struggles made us all feel a little disconnected from one another. It was wonderful to have no distractions- if only for a little while. It gave us time to stop and breathe.

Celebrating 20 years of marriage! We hiked the kids

down to a little creek area... me in flip flops.

I'm quite the hiker I can assure you!

Tom surprised me with a box of gourmet cupcakes. Aren't they cute?

Each one was decorated in a unique way. The base- Chocolate,

Red velvet, Carrot and well, more chocolate of course!

We stayed in for dinner (we are such homebodies) and did some BBQ'ing.

Isn't this apron great? Faith made it for Father's Day using iron on letters.

Tom loved it and kept referring to himself in the third person as the

BBQ King. Made me laugh.

We spent a whole day just by the pool. Flip flops, hotel towels

(that I didn't need to wash) time to play and enjoy the nice weather.

The kids made this video. And to be quite honest- they crack me up! This is all them- they filmed it, edited it and all. ;)

Sigh. Deep breath. That was nice. Okay, back to reality. Only- a little refreshed.
