Thankful

We are very thankful for God's mercies. For a safe delivery of our precious little Hailey. For dear saints that have been praying on our behalf. For faithful hands that have cared for our children, run errands, made meals and checked in on us here.

Very thankful. Thank you.

Here is a baby Hailey update:

Hailey's jaundice is improving. We are working diligently to nurse and supplement her and now, at 7 lbs., 5 oz., she is getting closer to her birth weight.

Little Hailey is tongue tied. This may be why we seem to be working so hard to nurse her and are needing to supplement her feeding to help her regain her birth weight.

We had never heard of this condition until we met little Hailey, but after some research we found it was indeed hereditary. As it turns out, Tom's mom was born tongue tied, but had a medical procedure performed within her first 12 weeks to shorten the piece of tissue under her tongue. We are scheduled to have the same procedure performed on Hailey this Friday. As we get closer to that day we are continuing to research and pray.

We would appreciate your prayers for little Hailey as well. Primarily that if the procedure is required it will be simple and without complication.

We thank you for your continued love and prayers.

  2. My girls (6, 3,and 1) and I want to wish Hailey a Happy One Week Birthday! My 3-year-old wanted to know, because she is so little, how Hailey will walk to the store. Isn't that sweet?! Best wishes.
