Welcome to the family!

On Sunday our extended family came to meet and welcome Hailey Grace. Thank you to each of you that came. I wish that I had photos of everyone, but the photos seemed to slow down around the time I had to sit down and put my feet up. : )

Grammie (my mom on the left) and Grandma Donna (Tom's mom on the right) with Hailey.

Great Grandma Renie with her 23rd GREAT grand baby (who also happened to be born on the 23rd of April)

Me opening cute little things for Hailey.

A few desserts. The girls have loved celebrating special occasions with little shaped cakes ever since reading Angel's Story by O.F. Walton. They made some simple flowers, bundt shapes and teddy bears to add to the buffet.

A couple of the girl's second cousins were able to come. Tom grew up with Aunt Pat's kids (Mike and Aaron). It was fun to see their boys here alongside our girls~ especially since they look so much like their daddys. Here are Tristan and Michaela playing air hockey against Faith and Phillip.

Great Aunt Pat (Tom's aunt) and Baby Hailey.

Celebrating the other April babes. Here Michaela is opening a worship CD from Bob and Edy. Thank you Bob and Edy! We've really been enjoying the CD's this week as well as the mini boom box that went with them! The tea cups were beautiful as well and thank you to Grandma Donna for the Hello Kitty items and to Grammie and Aunt Pat for the gifts of clothes.

  2. Extended family is such a blessing! Although most of mine are no longer here, I grew up with lots; my great-grandmother lived to be 106!
You have such a beautiful family!
When you have a moment, might you share about how you all dress? The girls always look so lovely, and so do you in the few pictures you are in! Do you always wear dresses and fix your/their hair? Where do you find such sweet clothes?

    Thank you,
    Beth in NC

  4. Hi Caroline! Thank you! Hope you'll get to meet her in person soon. : )

Wow Beth! 106? She must have honored her parents! I always think of that promise (Exodus 20:12) when I hear someone has lived past 90, don't you?

Thank you so much for your generous compliment about the girls. Actually we buy many of our clothes second hand or on clearance. The Lord seems to bless that effort. My secret? I love to iron and buy matching hair bows. : ) I think might write about clothing one day soon. Someone else had asked me to also. Thanks for the nudge.

Hooray Lois! Looking forward to seeing you! Are the Halls coming out too?

    Love,
    Rebecca
