This Week...

Hello everyone. I am posting to let you know that we will not be here this week.

This week is our scheduled Student Writing Intensive Class by The Institute for Excellence in Writing. Following the hours of lecture and writing assignments, I have homework and cuddles with the little ones scheduled for my night time slot.

If you think of it, please keep us in your prayers this week. Being separated- Sarah and Lydie at home with extended family rather than with us- is hard on all of us, but especially hard for Sarah.

This morning even the older girls teared up as we left our little ones behind.

Blessings to each of you as you lead little hearts home!

~Rebecca

Michaela on the lawn- taking a short break from the writing class. These play dresses are being sold at WalMart on their clearance racks right now- for just $5 each. I also discovered these cute polka dot headbands 3 for $1 at the Dollar Tree! Can't go wrong with polka dots. : )

A Suspenseful story told by Pa at the latest family camp out!

Assembling breakfast burritos with our cousins. Final count 40 all wrapped and in the freezer. Ingredients were all pre-prepped and our willing assembly line workers were all in place. My sister Liz had the idea to have each person add their ingredient then slide the paper towel to the next person. It worked great!

Play after the work. Enjoying the nice evenings before the cold sets in.

Lydia's all smiles

  1. Hi Rebecca!

I don't remember how I found your blog, so you will have to forgive me! I was just clicking and then ended up here at your blog!

What a precious family you have! I love the pics of your kids... I am praying for your girls while you are all away... that is so hard to have the family apart when everyone is always together isn't it?? Bless you this day!

  3. We are doing the I. E. W. course at home (purchased the DVD's and materials. (We couldn't bear the thought of leaving little ones either). We are having great success even with two boys (15 & 13) who don't like to write! They now look forward to reading their finished work to the family before our devotion time. Ten year old sister is also doing it as well, moving a little more slowly.
    Wishing you much success!

  4. Hi Amy! Welcome! Thank you so much for your prayers. I really appreciate knowing we are being prayed for! : )

Hey Caroline! Good to hear from you! Yes, the assembly was easy once the ingredients were ready. Next plan- hearty peanut butter breakfast cookies with oats! Yum. : )

Hello Darleen! Fantastic contribution. Having the DVDs is a great alternative! We too are really enjoying the program.

    Blessings to each of you!
