  1. She is BEAUTIFUL, just like her momma and big sisters!

I wanted to ask you where you buy your girls clothes. The sweet cotton dresses in the beach pictures especially, and the solid white ones?

I am trying to encourage my little ladies to dress more femininely.

    Have a lovely day,
    Kim

    Hi Kim!

I know how challenging it can be to find feminine and modest clothing for our girls. I hope this helps!

The cotton play dresses (on the older two girls) were from Lands End. We love these. They are sweet and easy to play in. Also, they really last.

The play dresses on the younger two were from Walmart. Walmart often has modest and feminine options for us. One thing to note regarding their cotton play dresses is that they will shrink approximately one full size in regular washing. So, you will need to plan for that.

The white dresses were from a few different places~ Mervyns, Once Upon a Child and the older girls were wearing homemade white skirts. Skirts are a simple sewing project and work well for taller girls.

On a side note, Old Navy.com has long denim skirts available right now (they don't sell them in the stores). They are great for going shopping in, but don't have as much play room for everyday.

    Blessings!

  11. Hi Rebecca,
I've been really enjoying your blog for awhile now.... I'm in Australia, and I'm sorry I haven't said hello yet!! I even recently added you to my blogroll. You have really inspired me in so many ways. I have high ideals for my family and children and sometimes struggle in the daily circle of my life to remember and strictly adhere to these. Your blog is a good reminder of the purity and goodness I strive for in my family.
My littlest, William, is just a little younger than Hailey Grace- he is 5 and a half months and also very roly poly. :) Babies are such an incredible blessing!
Rebecca, I wanted to request a post if I may. A friend and I were recently discussing the importance of imparting the male/female role, true masculinity/femininity to our girls and boys. I know what my desires are in my heart, yet I struggled to put them into words when talking with my friend. I long for my daughter to be sweet and gentle and kind, and for my boys to be strong and generous, and to have gentleness and honour in their natures as well. But I just can't seem to get it together to share my thoughts with others! Maybe it's an issue too close to my heart, maybe it's because my friend slightly disagreed and didn't quite get where I was coming from...... or maybe I'm too new on this mothering journey. Would you, at some stage, consider writing a post on what it really means to be feminine and why it's important to teach and model this? It would be so helpful to me, just getting the ideas clear in my mind. Thankyou so much, and blessings to you today! Thanks for your wonderful blog, for sharing your lovely family life with us,
    Saminda. :)

  15. Ooh! These pics did turn out incredibly beautiful Rebecca!! Bravo!!

I think we'll have to put more thought into making a date! We just had ours taken though(we stood up a tripod and a camera on an auto-timer)....

It's so tough to make a date w/ Chris' "schedule" though....
